I can’t wait to take my kids to this. It looks so cool and since kids as little as 2 years old can go, I’m 100% sure all of my kids will have a blast! Stay tuned for my review!
This is such an easy and frugal craft to make with your kids. Not only is it easy, fun and cheap, but the result is simply beautiful. I love having the three suncatchers in my window above my kitchen sink. It reflects the light so beautifully.
To see how to create this craft with your kids, see the step by step instructions with pictures in my full article HERE.

I had the wonderful opportunity to review Zaycon Foods and their chicken. All I can say is WOW. This chicken is delicious! We have prepared it a number of ways since we received it including grilling, baking and using a slow cooker.
Zaycon Foods and Chicken Soup for the Soul’s new relationship makes it easier for you to get fresh, wholesome food outside of the traditional retail channels.
It was a very simple process to order from Zaycon. I did it all online HERE. (You will need to register first. Don’t worry, it’s free.)
Pick up was extremely simple. I picked my box up a a local and convenient location on my way home from an event. When I got home, we opened the box and began to sort the chicken into freezer bags. Check out how it came packaged and how much we got. The pieces were huge! Plenty to feed our family for a few months.
With all this chicken, I needed some fresh ideas for recipes. I was fortunate enough to receive some Chicken Soup for the Soul products.
I used Chicken Soup for the Soul Buffalo Barbeque Sauce along with my Homemade Season Salt for some tasty grilled chicken.
If you need some ideas, check out some recipes at Chicken Soup for the Soul here.
When my kids tried the chicken, they actually complimented me. My kids hardly EVER Continue reading…
Slide The City Comes to Pittsburgh – Saturday, June 6, 2015 11am-7pm
Wow, I can not wait and neither can my kids! This looks like so much fun! That is a mighty long slide! Wooo! I’m at a loss for words about how exciting this is to be able to experience it.
Best Rates – Early Bird Registration begins Wednesday, April 22, 2015!
Summer time is approaching fast and we are bringing 1000 feet of slick vinyl to brighten your city streets. Slide the City is a family friendly slip-and-slide water party event. There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip and slide ever to hit Pittsburgh!
Come dressed to impress because it’s not every day you can strut through town with your hot bod, cool dance moves and slick slides. Did we mention 1000 feet? Yeah, that’s over 3 football fields.
Make sure to bring your water buckets, floaties, and water guns (non-realistic of course), to squirt, spray, splash, and get all attending soaked.
Pittsburgh will get a slippery makeover when the Slide the City Tour brings the 1,000 foot slip and slide to South Park June 6th, 2015. Turning hills into water-sliding thrills is the goal of the event, which was created in an effort to get people outside, having fun, and connecting with their community.
Participants in Slide the City will ride inflatables down a 1,000-ft. slip and slide. This one-of-a-kind experience will help people “slide into summer.” The first event of its kind, Slide the City has seen massive growth since it started in 2014. This original concept went viral when the video was released, and this year promises to be bigger, better, and wetter. “This will be one of the highlights of your year,” said Slide The City Founder, T.R. Gourley “Get ready for the slide of your life!”
Pittsburgh has shown great enthusiasm for the event with over 17,000 people signing up to be notified once registration was opened and hundreds more joining the waitlist daily.
Each rider can purchase a one ride pass, three ride pass, or all-day pass. With over 150 events in the US and Canada, and more than 20 international locations beginning with Japan and Australia as early as March, water slide enthusiasts are sure to find a Slide the City event nearby.

Is there an age or height limit?
All who are over 46 inches tall and over 5 years old are invited to slide, but remember if you’re under 18 you’ll need to get a sign off from your legal guardians.
Are there group rates available?
If you have a group with 20 or more participants send us an email.
What do you do to address water conservation?
Water conservation is also a priority at our events. We strive to have zero environmental impact on the community. The Slide was designed to have zero water loss, and it treats and recycles the water safely and efficiently throughout the day. When permitted, we donate the water back to the community. Methods of disposal include local reclamation centers, parks, golf courses and other places dependent upon local regulations.
The kids were amazed at how watercolors work. This was a wonderfully fun craft to do with them. These bookmarks not only are personalized, but they are very usable. The magnets keep the bookmark in place in your book too.

This is what I said before we saw the show: “Wow! What a great show this will be! I think I’m just as excited as my kids! I love how it is about the Princesses AND Heroes! The magic will be there for both girls AND boys!”
This is what I said after we saw the show: “Wow! That. Was. Amazing! I LOVED it and my kids did too!”
We saw Ariel as Prince Eric broke Ursula’s slithering spell. I have to say that I was very excited to see Ursula along with Flotsam and Jetsam! Prince Phillip defeated the evil Maleficent as she transformed herself into a fire-breathing dragon! Now that was just cool to see. That was definitely a kid favorite!
My kids were very excited to see the dwarfs!
Then we saw Olaf! We all know the storyline and I have to say that the effects were amazing and really brought the movie to life right there on the ice. I was extremely impressed.
It was a great show and my kids were in awe the entire time. On our way out we heard everyone talking about their favorite part. It was amazing to see how every person we passed was walking out smiling and saying how good the show was.
This is definitely a show to put on the list for next year.

I volunteered to send in the napkins for my daughter’s Valentine’s Day party at school. I seem to always volunteer for napkins. Maybe because it’s easy. Maybe because it doesn’t cost much. Maybe because it doesn’t take too much time to make. Mostly, I think, it’s because I want the challenge to see how I can make it more fun than sending in a pack of napkins. This is the 4th time I volunteered for napkins and I was almost at a loss of what to do. Then, just 10 seconds into the dollar store, my eyes focused on the pipe cleaners.
Go to the full article HERE to see the slide show to see what I did and how I did it. You can turn your child’s napkins into a fun sight for their party too!
