I love French dressing. I’m very picky about which brands I purchase and whether I get it at restaurants when I order a salad. Most of the time, I end up going with another dressing because I don’t like how the kind at the restaurant tastes.
Well, I have a homemade recipe that in my family we call “Shane’s French Dressing.” So there you go, bro, you got the credit for this awesome recipe. I made some tonight and felt giddy when I tested it. I’m lucky it was dinnertime because I couldn’t wait to eat it. I love it when I crave this dressing and realize I always have all the ingredients in my kitchen already.
Here is what you need:
- 1 & 1/4 C. vegetable oil
- 3/4 C. white vinegar
- 1 C. sugar
- 10 oz. can of condensed tomato soup (do not add water)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 3 tsp. onion powder (I ran out one time and ended up using 1 tsp. of onion powder and 2 T. chopped sweet onion)
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. mustard (or dry mustard…I’ve used both before and the result is equally delicious)
Add all of the ingredients to a bowl and beat with a hand mixer or do what I do and add it all to a blender.
Makes approximately 32 servings (2 T. = 1 serving). Approximately 106 calories per serving.
ENJOY!
